Who we are

Didi's House is a amateur home-based recording studio based in Johannesburg, South Africa. This website, recordingstudio.co.za, is the studio's online presence. For any privacy question, contact us using the details at the end of this page.

What we collect

This is a simple informational website. We do not run accounts, logins, or a checkout, and we do not ask you to fill in a form. The information involved is limited to the following.

Source	What it involves
Google Analytics 4 (via Google Tag Manager)	Anonymous usage data such as pages viewed, approximate location, device and browser type. Used to understand how the site performs. Loads only if you accept analytics cookies.
Microsoft Clarity	Aggregated session and interaction data (heatmaps, scroll and click behaviour) to help improve the site. Loads only if you accept analytics cookies.
WhatsApp / phone links	If you tap "WhatsApp" or "Call", your own device opens WhatsApp or your phone app. Any message or call then happens directly between you and us, and is handled under WhatsApp's own privacy terms.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.

Cookies and consent

Cookies that are strictly necessary for the site to work are always on. Analytics cookies (Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity) load only after you choose "Accept all" on our cookie banner. Until then they stay blocked by default, in line with Google Consent Mode and POPIA.

You can change your mind at any time using the Cookie settings link in the footer of the site, which reopens the banner so you can accept or reject. Withdrawing consent is as easy as giving it.

How long we keep it

Analytics data is retained according to the default retention settings of Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity (typically up to 14 months for GA4 and shorter for Clarity), after which it is automatically deleted or aggregated. We do not keep a separate personal database from this website.

Your rights under POPIA

You have the right to:

Ask what personal information, if any, we hold about you.
Ask us to correct or delete information that is inaccurate or no longer needed.
Object to processing, and withdraw your cookie consent at any time.
Lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator if you believe your rights have been infringed.

We may add booking or enquiry tools later. If we do, we will update this policy to describe what those tools collect.
